Lecturers at Universities Need Flattering Headshots

Lecturers who have reached a certain level in their career need flattering headshots. Tenured faculty and lecturers speak at conferences and need to have a professional headshot. This lecturer and head of her department teaches at USC and gives lots of speeches around California. We set up her session on a weekend morning and my hair stylist and makeup artist was there to give her a pretty, professional look. We had a large variety of stylish wardrobe, from dresses and colorful scarves, to work blazers and business attire. Her headshot would be on the University website so it had to be top-of-the-line. This professor performs at a high level and need Personal Branding that reflected her stature. She brought this simple sweater and I posed her against the green canvas backdrop that looks so good with her coloring. She kept her jewelry simple so it didn't detract from her face. She wanted to look approachable to her college students, and professional and competent for her audience of colleagues. If you're a university lecturer or have an Endowed Chair and oversee a department, come see Rebecca Little Photography for professional headshots. I'm in Pasadena, a shot drive from the University of California in Los Angeles.

Susan is a lecturer at USC and the Managing Director of the Spatial Sciences Institute at USC. She often speaks to various groups and conferences.

She needed a professional headshot that denoted her status as a professional lecturer, but was still engaging.

Because she presents to different audiences, she wanted a variety of Personal Branding images that would appeal to different groups.
During our Design Consultation, we talked in depth about what outfits she should bring, what colors are best, and how to prepare for her session.

Let’s talk wardrobe!

Susan brought a beautiful variety of outfits, from conservative blazers and pretty blouses, to scarves and casual jackets.

She also brought elegant cocktail attire and a stunning embroidered pink kimono.

She chose a beautiful pale blue gray tulle skirt from my wardrobe so she could have a fun, whimsical portrait for herself and family.

I photographed her for about two hours with many outfit changes and different looks. Her makeup was done to perfection by my wonderful stylist Golzar. She also added a bit of style and volume to her hair.

My assistant is always on hand during your Portrait Session to help style your wardrobe and touch up your hair and makeup.
