Family Lifestyle photography is not like any photography that you’ve experienced. It is deeper, truer, and more relaxed. When I come into your family home, I am like an anthropologist searching for clues and looking for the best way to celebrate your family, your home, and your relationships.
I create honest, important photographs of your family history
There’s usually lots of laughing and snuggling involved. I’m looking for unscripted moments and casual interactions. I focus on what is natural and authentic. If you want photographs that capture the spirit and warmth of your family, you want family lifestyle photography.

I design my family lifestyle sessions around albums. I’m telling the story of your family and the best way to do that is with a collection of images. Clients usually invest in an album, a wall hanging for their home, and a few gift prints for family members.
I like to start in your home because it says so much about your family. Some families like to spend the entire session at home, while others like to venture out. Think about how you like to spend time together as a family. Shopping in Old Town and having lunch; playing board games then swimming in the backyard pool; going to the Farmers’ Market, riding bikes, then cooking dinner at home: these are all possibilities. It is your life – there are no wrong answers.
At the end of our session, clients often say, “That was so easy!”
A few weeks after our family lifestyle photography session, we’ll meet again in your home for your ordering session and you’ll see your images for the first time. It’s always exciting to sit down and view your photos and see what we’ve created together. It’s emotional to see your family portrayed in images; usually, it produces a happy combination of laughter and tears.
