Family Sessions La Canada

I love finding the perfect location for family sessions in La Canada. This spot is one of my favorites. It’s along a trail that opens into this wide-open space and it’s not crowded. In fact, we didn’t see a single person while we were there.

An outdoor family session in La Canada. I found this fabulous outdoor location in La Canada when I was hiking. It's a large white boulder with the mountains behind it. There are tall stalks of dried grass in front. I posed this family of five around the boulder. The two younger boys are sitting on the boulder and mom, dad, and the older sister are standing in front of the boulder. I like finding natural seating areas in nature so I can artfully pose a family. They coordinated their outfits so well for this la Canada family photo! Outdoor Sessions in La Canada or in the Studio

You can choose to have your Family Session at my studio in Pasadena or outdoors in La Canada, Pasadena, or surrounding areas. I love searching until I find an out-of-the-way location off the beaten track. Or a spot that’s a hidden gem, like this one.

Fall and spring are the most beautiful times of year for outdoor photographs. The light is pale and flattering and it’s not too hot. There’s also more color in the landscape. In those long summer months, everything is dry and brown and not great for family photos.

Full-service Family Sessions at the studio

You’re welcome to come to my Pasadena studio for your family session. I have a variety of backdrops and professional lighting. I have a changing romm with a full-length mirror and a place to hang your outfits.

If you like magazine-style images with dramatic lighting and posing, I can do that. If you prefer traditional family photos, I can do that too.

I also offer professional hair and makeup services.
