This may be my favorite photo from my most recent session.
I have a confession.
I fall hopelessly in love with the people I photograph.
Maybe it’s because I sit in the dark for hours staring at their faces, examining pores and eyelashes and the way their hair falls across their faces.
I feel protective of them.
I want everyone to see how pretty/handsome/quirky/playful/thoughtful they are.
It’s like a stage mother presenting her children to the audience:
“Isn’t she adorable?”
“Look at those eyes!”
“Seriously, isn’t he gorgeous?”
Or as Jerry Seinfeld’s mom would say, “How can anyone not like him?”
